Our hiking tips on Alpe di Siusi: follow the Geologists’ Path near Siusi/Seis or the Farm Trail in Aica/Aicha. On a hot summer day, visit the little Lake of Fiè/Völs for a refreshing plunge or simply take in the peaceful and idyllic ambience by the lakeshore. Do not forget to stop at one of the rustic alpine cottages and traditional inns and to sample the freshly prepared traditional delicacies, before heading back home to our feel-good apartments at Moarlhof.
The nature park Sciliar-Catinacco/Schlern-Rosengarten is situated on the territory of Castelrotto/Kastelruth, Tires/Tiers and Fiè allo Sciliar/Völs am Schlern. Together with the protected nature reign of Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, Tschamin valley and Mount Catinaccio/Rosengarten, it offers an immensely diverse habitat for numerous animals and plants covering approx. 6.8 ha. Bird watchers can be sure to spot woodpeckers, howls, crossbills, willow tits or alpine choughs. During their search for food, they love to pass by the local mountain hotels.
